About My Blog

I have been advising people with Florida asset protection for a long time. I enjoy the work. I find the subject matter intellectually challenging, and I like helping people protect what they have earned. In 2004, I decided to publish in a blog my insights and opinions about asset protection issues. I started the blog in order to describe, post by post, the variety of legal issues people encounter as they protect their family’s assets.

My blog posts are based on real experiences in my legal practice. During most work days I encounter interesting legal issues in client consultations and in questions e-mailed from blog readers. Occasionally, I’ll find an article on someone else’s blog or something in a newspaper article that contains useful information about Florida asset protection law. I write these issues and questions on those little yellow sticky pads and paste the papers somewhere on my desk. Sometimes my desk is littered with future blog topics. One or two nights each week, I’ll take the most interesting of the yellow sticky pad questions and write a blog post including my opinions and insights about the topic. That’s how I write this blog.

I hope you enjoy reading the blog articles as much as I enjoy writing them. Understand that the blog posts are my initial opinions about things I find interesting in asset protection law. I do not research legal issues before I write about them on the blog (unless a client pays me for the research), so sometimes my opinions are different from what some judge may have said about the same issue.

The blog posts are not legal advice to you or anyone else. If you want reliable asset protection advice I suggest you see an attorney and explain to your attorney all the facts about your about your particular situation (see the “Contact Info” tab). If you are looking for more free information about asset protection law (still not legal advice) to visit my website.

Thanks for reading the blog.
